Chris Lien is the Commercial Mail Director and Postal Affairs Co-Chair for Business Objects.  In his current role, he is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the company’s Postalsoft brand of products. Mr. Lien has been active in the mailing industry for over a decade and during that time has authored several software products utilizing Mail.dat for electronic auditing and dynamic drop shipment planning. He has been heavily involved in industry groups such as the IDEAlliance where he has assisted in editing the Mail.dat standard, and MTAC where he presently holds the position of industry co-chair for workgroup 97: Address Quality Methodologies.

Mr. Lien has spoken at numerous conferences and events such as Postal Customer Councils including the National PCC Day event, Mailcom, the National Postal Forum, and other industry events. He has been a regular contributor to Business Objects eNewsletters and hosts many of their online webinars often averaging attendances in excess of 200. Mr. Lien holds a B.S. degree in computer science from the University of Minnesota.
